Sokoto Governor Gives N99m To Families Of Those That Died During The 2015 Hajj Stampede

114 pilgrims from Sokoto State last year died during the Muna stampede in Saudi Arabia, at the 2015 Hajj exercise. Each of the families were today given N500,000 each, as a
”personal gift from the state government,” which was disbursed by Governor Aminu Tambuwal. In total, the State said it gave out N99m.

The Governor further described the stampede an act of God that could not be prevented by any mortal.
